Our first episode of The Family Jewels Podcast is about that most delicious of holidays — Thanksgiving.
Hosts Apryl Lundsten and Eve Troeh share their own family stories from the holiday: Apryl tells about the year her stepdad brought someone new home to meet the family, while Eve goes to New Orleans for a very non-traditional Thanksgiving tradition. Plus, she brings back a great recipe from there. We also hear the tale of a TV ad that came to life, tell you about something called turkey dumping and get advice for coping with family drama around the holidays.
We want to hear your family stories — send us your family jewels at stories@thefamilyjewelspodcast.com!

this is such a great idea, Thanksgiving can b e stressful or just a lot of fun…we love the whole day even tho there is a ton fo dishes at night….the turkey sandwich is so good , wiht mayonaise , sweet pickles, and white gum bread and lots of turkey, we smoke one and do one in the oven and also have a ham…..this year we have a new baby, LAKE to visit so probably the grandma will be to busy holding him to cook dinner but OH WELL< love to everyone…..

Eve:
You know my family is from New Orleans so I’ll say I LOVE THIS!!!!
I had no idea what those ladies were saying because it’s been so many years since I have heard that accent. My parents lost theirs years ago and I dont get back there after Katrina.
Still, love this podcast. Very well produced and alive.
It’s a labour of love right? LOL!
big hug to you…
